Launched in 2015,
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) was launched in 2015 and has been instrumental in reshaping India’s urban housing ecosystem. Here’s how you can apply online for PMAY Delhi in 2025:
Step 1: Visit the official PMAY Portal.
Step 2: Click on “Citizen Assessment.”
Step 3: Select the appropriate category (EWS/LIG/MIG).
Step 4: Enter your Aadhaar number to validate your identity.
Step 5: Fill in your personal, income, and residential details.
Step 6: Upload required documents.
Step 7: Submit the form and save the application number.

Aadhaar verification is mandatory for PMAY applications. Even minor errors in name, number, or date of birth can cause authentication failures. Always double-check your Aadhaar data before submission.
For EWS and LIG categories, having a female co-owner (wife/mother/sister/daughter) is compulsory to promote women’s empowerment through property ownership. Applications without a female co-applicant may be rejected.
Misclassifying your income bracket (e.g., applying as LIG when eligible for MIG-I) can disqualify your application or reduce the subsidy amount. Make sure your income documents match the chosen category.
